The number of tourists staying overnight in tourist accommodation facilities in 2023 increased by 5.8% year-on-year to 36.2 million, as reported by the Central Statistical Office (GUS) on Monday. The number of overnight stays also increased by 3.2% year-on-year. Most foreign tourists came from Germany (1.6 million), Ukraine (931.4 thousand), Great Britain (642.1 thousand), the United States (472.2 thousand), the Czech Republic (351.9 thousand), Lithuania (250.9 thousand), Italy (202.8 thousand) and France (181.0 thousand).
